LOVE IS THE ANSWER
“But now faith, hope, love,
abide these three;
but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. – Aesop
Welcome! I’m using this blog for my random philosophical chatter.
I do not prescribe to any specific or one denomination, religion or spirituality. You will find a mix of Christianity, Pagan, Buddhism, New Age, Law of Attraction, etc. here. Anything that brightens the path of a human’s journey through a lifetime.
PS. you’ll probably find random stuff thrown in for good measure, too. ; )
My political leanings run left. I usually think to myself “I’m so left, I fell off the edge.” But according to the graph below, I could be “lefter” .. LOL.
I don’t like laws. we have too many and frankly, I think they are stupid, IMHO. I think people should be allowed to do what they want as long as they are not bothering others. I also believe in unicorns so if you don’t like magical thinking then you probably don’t care much for my ideas.
Practically speaking, I will take freedom over security.
(Until the USA 2012 Presidential Election, I had no interest in politics. I knew I was liberal but that was it. My mother, though, a staunch liberal democrat, watched news channels and political shows 24/7. She passed over to The Other Side in May 2011. She had a brain injury in May 2007 and although alive.. really wasn’t aware of our country’s first black president winning the election in 2008. Therefore, I think she took me over, living vicariously through me during the 2012 election season. I couldn’t get enough of watching Romney and Obama battle it out.)
I started getting my Effexor XR from Healthwarehouse about 6 months ago. I used to get it free via the manufacturer (I have no prescription insurance) but then the program changed.
I wouldn’t get this med at all except for the fact that the withdrawal symptoms are HELL!
Healthwarehouse is based in Kentucky and BBB Accredited.
So far, I’ve been happy with the whole process from ordering to shipping. They even contacted my doctor to get a new script when I transferred my old script.
Here is my affiliate link which will give me %10 coupon toward my orders: CLICK HERE
“Everyone has their part to play, right? Maybe this is mine.” – Tina on Glee (May 17, 2012 episode)
Life is like a play and we are all actors. But in this case, you’re playing yourself.
Just be you!
“Give me such love for God and men, as will blot out all hatred and bitterness.”
- Deitrich Bonhoeffer
This quote appears in my current Ladies Bible Studies book in the chapter “To Love God and Others.” ( Becoming A Woman Of Purpose by Cynthia Heald )
People who align so closely w a group identity do so out of fear.. fear to stand alone.. to be judged. Blessed or cursed.. I have never fit in to any group so I have always stood alone.
We are all alone TOGETHER.. so no one is truly alone. I finally came full circle to understand that I am part of everything. How cool!
“Imagine being able to FLY and being caged like a prisoner.”
@YourDailyVegan posted that on Twitter regarding caged birds and animals. But it made me think of humans.. how we have caged each other and ourselves. We have used labels and boundaries which created prejudices to confine us.
We can be FREE, people! Don’t you want to FLY? I sure do.
Learning to let go seems so hard. I think humans expect things to be hard so we make them hard..lol. As Samsaric Warrior says “Only the thought of it is hard.” Read his post here: http://samsaricwarrior.com/2011/07/07/what-are-you-grasping-at/
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
King James Version (KJV)
Perhaps our words can help someone along their path in life. Think before you speak. Sometimes a kind word can make all the difference to someone. Sometimes your words can be a lamp for a person’s feet.
“Jimmy’s world was turned upside-down by one monkey who took a banana and, rather than holding the banana to peel from the stem, he turned it upside down. Jimmy thought the monkey was stupid. What kind of monkey doesn’t know how to open a banana, for cryin’ out loud?
Then the monkey pinched the end, and effortlessly extracted a perfectly peeled banana.
It turns out, of course, that the monkey wasn’t wrong. Rather, because Jimmy had always only seen a banana peeled from the stem, in the same way that we’ve all always seen a banana peeled for as long as we can remember, Jimmy assumed that there was only one way to peel a banana. But there are at least two, and both do what they need to do quite well: they produce fruit.”
Sometimes we get used to something done a certain way.. so much so that we can’t imagine it being done any other way! Take the story above and replace bananas with another object or even a concept. You may be intrigued by some new insight.
